Find out which is best for you.

The video card, or GPU as it is also known, is the part responsible for managing the images that will appear on the monitor screen, for example: images of game graphics, applications and visual effects, which one is right for you.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The computer screen is made up of many pixels. They are illuminated “dots” that form an image. Each of these “dots” has a different coordinate, color and behavior. That’s where the video card comes in. It manages all those pixels to be able to display scene changes in a movie, character movements in a game and even photos that appear on your social networks, all in a fraction of a second.

INDICATION

The video card is one of the most difficult parts to choose, as there are several models, prices and specifications on the market. Some are more suitable for everyday use (onboard) and others for those looking for more graphics processing (offboard).

ONBOARD

Embedded cards, also known as integrated cards, are located inside the processor. These are suitable for everyday tasks. You can watch a movie or play a lighter game without having any problems with the image.

OFFBOARD

For those who want flawless images and smooth videos, a dedicated video card (OFFBOARD) is the best option. Unlike the ONBOARD, the dedicated card is separate from the processor and has its own power supply, cooling system and circuits. As if it were a microcomputer, inside your PC or notebook. As it doesn’t need to share computing resources, it is much more powerful than an ONBOARD card. They are the “darlings” of gamers, video editing professionals and three-dimensional modelers.

ATTENTION

It is not possible to install an offboard video card in a vps, only in dedicated physical servers. Check out our dedicated server services with ONBOARD and OFFBOARD video cards and take your technology to the next level.
