About OpenVPN Access Server
OpenVPN Access Server is OpenVPN Inc.'s own VPN server, with a web admin panel to create users and a portal where each person downloads the OpenVPN Connect app and their connection profile. It is for anyone who wants to give a team secure remote access, work from public networks with their traffic protected, or reach the internet through the server's address.
At Master da Web it runs on your own VPS and you administer it: Access Server 3.2.3, from OpenVPN's official repository, with the admin panel and the users' portal over HTTPS. The openvpn administrator starts with a 24-character password, generated at install, sent in the order e-mail and tested before the panel is public; the temporary password OpenVPN's installer creates is discarded. The VPN answers on 1194/UDP and, for networks that block UDP, on 8443/TCP, and profiles point at the server's IP address, so they never depend on DNS.
It is free for 2 simultaneous connections, with no time limit. More connections need an Access Server subscription bought from OpenVPN Inc. and activated in the panel. On your first sign-in to the panel you accept OpenVPN's licence agreement. No VPN user is created for you: you create each one in the panel, with its own password.
