How to size your project
We measured 635 MB in use system-wide, with AdGuard Home at about 96 MB and the default filter lists loaded: the 1 GB plan holds a small or mid-sized network. Load grows with queries per second, how long the log is kept and the size of the active lists. Check usage once the router points at the server, and move up a plan only if memory runs short.

What to use a AdGuard Home VPS for
Some of the most common uses. The server is yours — run whatever you like on it.
- Filter ads and trackers on a home or office network by pointing the router's DNS at the server
- Keep the blocking on a phone or laptop that is off the network, using the DoH address with your ClientID
- Give each device or person their own filters and follow what they look up in the query log
- Resolve internal names with DNS rewrites and block domains with rules of your own

About AdGuard Home
AdGuard Home is a DNS server that blocks ads and trackers for every device that uses it, with nothing to install on each one. It pairs filter lists with rules of your own, per-device settings and a query log.
At Master da Web it arrives as the official 0.107.79 release, with the web interface and the DNS-over-HTTPS (DoH) endpoint behind Caddy, and with the administrator written into the configuration before the first start: AdGuard's setup wizard is never left open for the first visitor. Port 53 answers only the addresses you allow, and DoH works from any network for whoever holds the ClientID, a private identifier carried in the address itself.
To begin, sign in as admin with the password from the e-mail, allow your network's address under Settings > DNS settings > Access settings (or run adguard-allow add me over SSH) and point the router's DNS at the server's IP.
Software features
- DNS-level blocking of ads and trackers, with filter lists and your own rules
- Web interface over HTTPS with a query log and per-device settings
- Administrator written into the configuration before first start: no open wizard
- Port 53 only for the addresses you allow: never an open resolver
- DNS-over-HTTPS from any network, authorised by a private ClientID
- adguard-allow command over SSH to allow, remove and list addresses
- Quad9 over HTTPS as the default upstream, which you change in Settings > DNS settings
- Official image v0.107.79, updated by changing the tag in compose.yaml
