How to size your project
Direct play costs almost nothing; re-encoding is what weighs. With no GPU, each 1080p H.264 stream a device cannot take as it is keeps 2 or 3 vCPUs busy, so load grows with the number of streams re-encoded at the same time. Memory matters less: 2 GB is the minimum. Disk grows with the library.

About Jellyfin
Jellyfin is a media server: you keep your films, series and music on the server and watch or listen in the browser and in the apps for Android, iOS and TVs. It organises the library with covers and synopses fetched from the internet and has separate user accounts.
Here it arrives as version 12.1, from the official image, behind HTTPS and in Portuguese. The startup wizard is finished before the page is public: the user is admin and the generated password comes in the order e-mail. The Filmes, Séries and Música libraries already point to /srv/media/filmes, /srv/media/series and /srv/media/musica, and whatever you copy there shows up by itself in about a minute.
A VPS has no GPU: whatever a device cannot play directly is re-encoded by the CPU, and one 1080p H.264 stream takes 2 or 3 vCPUs. Direct play costs almost nothing. Send files over SFTP or scp as root; the apps connect to the server's address.

Your chosen image installed, the plan’s resources and a panel to manage the server. Administrative access is provided after provisioning.
Configure for your business
The e-mail carries the address and the password of the admin user. Sign in, send files to /srv/media over SFTP or scp and install the app on your device with the server's address. New people go in under Dashboard > Users. Backing up /opt/jellyfin/config and /srv/media, and updates, are up to you.
