About WAHA
WAHA (WhatsApp HTTP API) is an HTTP API you install on your own server to connect WhatsApp numbers to your systems. Each number is a session, linked by QR code; your code sends messages through REST calls and receives incoming ones on a webhook. With a WAHA VPS, that WhatsApp API runs on a server of your own, protected by your key.
Use it to notify customers about orders and appointments, reply with a chatbot, push messages into a CRM or trigger an n8n workflow on every incoming message. The Dashboard shows your sessions and the QR code, and Swagger documents every API route and lets you try it in the browser before writing any code.
WAHA is free and open source, and there is no longer a separate Plus edition: according to the project itself, features that used to be Plus-only, such as multiple sessions and media messages, are in the free (Core) image. On your own VPS, sessions and media files stay on your server (in Brazil, if you choose Belo Horizonte), and the cost is the plan, not a price per message.
On Master da Web, the VPS comes up with WAHA 2026.9 from the free official image, pinned to its version, behind HTTPS with an automatic certificate and using the NOWEB engine, which talks to WhatsApp directly over WebSocket, without a browser. Nothing is left open: the API requires the key in the X-Api-Key header (inside the container it is stored only as a hash), and the Dashboard and Swagger ask for the admin login and a password generated at installation. The welcome e-mail carries the Dashboard address (https://<your-server>/dashboard/) and the API address, the login, the password and the key; a copy is kept in /root/waha.txt, readable only by root.
WAHA is not the official WhatsApp API and has no link to Meta. The project itself warns that WhatsApp does not allow bots or unofficial clients and that there is no guarantee a number will not be blocked: use it within WhatsApp's terms, without bulk messaging. Sessions live in /opt/waha/sessions (include that folder in your backups), and the Chatwoot integration app ships switched off, because it needs Redis and other settings.

Automatic backups
Scheduled copies of the whole server, kept off the host. Restore the complete WAHA whenever you need to.

Continuous external scanning of your server, with findings prioritised and the fix spelled out for each one.
Private network (VPC)
Connect WAHA to databases and other servers over an isolated network with nothing exposed to the internet. With a VPN Gateway for remote access.
DDoS protection
Volumetric attack mitigation for your WAHA server. Check protection options and prices when ordering.
Grow without reinstalling
Add vCPU, memory and disk from the panel and pay only the difference, and WAHA stays exactly as it is.
API and MCP for automation
Create, resize and manage servers through the public API — or straight from an AI assistant, over MCP.
