About Rocket.Chat
Rocket.Chat is an open source communications platform: team chat with channels, direct messages, threads and files, and customer service through Omnichannel, with chat on your site. It has desktop and mobile apps. Internal teams and support teams use it to keep conversation history on a server of their own.
At Master da Web it arrives as Rocket.Chat 8.8 with MongoDB 8.0 as a one-node replica set, which the product requires, and HTTPS through Caddy. The administrator (user admin, generated password) comes from the environment on first start. The setup wizard is marked as done and sign-up is closed. All of it is tested before the site is public.
The server sends a usage report to collector.rocket.chat once a day. Without Rocket.Chat Cloud registration, if it goes 10 days unable to report, it stops sending messages: keep outbound HTTPS open. E-mail and push notifications for the mobile apps, which need that registration, are yours to set up.

Configure for your business
After the order you receive the address, the administrator and the generated password. Sign in by the server name (by IP, Rocket.Chat asks whether to change the Site URL: decline) and create accounts in Administration > Users. Set up SMTP and keep outbound HTTPS open. Your own domain, Cloud registration (optional) and backups are yours.
