About Odoo

Odoo is an open source business management system (ERP) that brings sales, CRM, purchasing, inventory, invoicing, projects, point of sale, website and online store together in one place. Each area is an app you switch on when you need it, and they all share the same customers, products and orders. With an Odoo VPS you get Odoo hosting on a server of your own, with everything already installed.

Odoo serves small and mid-sized companies moving off spreadsheets, shops and distributors that need stock, sales and the website connected, service businesses that track projects and hours, and consultants and developers who install and customise Odoo for clients.

The Community edition is free software under the LGPL licence, with no licence fee and no per-user charge. On a VPS you install whichever modules you want, your own or third-party ones included, have access to the PostgreSQL database and decide when to update and how to back up; choose Belo Horizonte and your company's data stays in Brazil.

At Master da Web you get Odoo 19 Community from the official image, pinned to its version, with PostgreSQL 17, in Docker, behind HTTPS with an automatic certificate. The installer creates the database before the site goes public, in Brazilian Portuguese, with the company set in Brazil and no demo data, and sets up the administrator: the login is normally your account's e-mail and the password is generated. Both arrive in the welcome e-mail and are also kept in /root/odoo.txt. Odoo's database manager, the screen that on a fresh Odoo lets the first visitor create the database and take over the installation, is never exposed and stays switched off. Workers are sized from the server's memory, and internal chat, live chat and real-time notifications work through the same address.

After your first sign-in you switch apps on from the Apps menu, set up an outgoing mail server (SMTP) so Odoo can send e-mail and, if you like, point your own domain at the server. This is the Community edition: full Accounting, Studio, Helpdesk and the Android and iOS apps belong to the Enterprise edition, which is paid, licensed by Odoo S.A. and not part of this installation.
