Pick the right plan for Node-RED

Every plan includes public IPv4 and IPv6, NVMe storage and a 1 Gbps uplink. Click one to reach the checkout with everything filled in.

How to size your project

The platform minimum for this image is 1 GB. Consumption depends on your flows: messages per second, nodes that process files or images, extra libraries installed and what each flow keeps in memory. Start at the minimum, watch the container with docker stats and move up a plan when you need to.

How to order Node-RED

  1. Pick a plan

vCPU, memory and disk sized for your project. You can grow it later without reinstalling.

  2. Confirm the order

Pix, bank slip or card. Nothing is charged until you confirm, and you have a 7-day guarantee.

  3. Node-RED ready in minutes

The server comes up with Node-RED installed and configured. Access details appear in the panel.

What to use a Node-RED VPS for

Some of the most common uses. The server is yours — run whatever you like on it.

  • Receive webhooks, transform the data and pass it to other APIs, databases and message queues
  • Read sensors and devices over MQTT or HTTP and fire alerts when a value leaves its range
  • Schedule periodic jobs, such as querying an API every hour and storing the result
  • Prototype an integration between two systems before deciding whether to write it in code

About Node-RED

Node-RED is a flow-based programming tool: in the editor, inside the browser, you wire nodes that receive data, transform it and send it to devices, APIs and services. It is used for automation, integrations and IoT, with little code.

Here Node-RED 4.1 arrives in Docker, on the official image with Node.js 22, behind Caddy. The editor is never open: the admin login is already in settings.js before the first start, with a generated password that comes in the e-mail. The key that encrypts the flows' credentials is generated too. Only ports 80 and 443 are published.

Two things are left to you: keep a copy of the credential key, without which a backup of the flows cannot be read, and remember that http in nodes answer without a login, because that is what a webhook needs.

Software features

  • Node-RED 4.1 on the official image, with Node.js 22, in Docker
  • Editor behind a login from the first start, with a password generated at install
  • A generated credential key encrypts the passwords and tokens kept in flows
  • Caddy over HTTPS is the only way in: only ports 80 and 443 are published
  • http in nodes are public on purpose, for webhooks; httpNodeAuth is optional
  • Flows, credentials and installed nodes in /opt/node-red/data, outside the container
  • Telemetry and update notices off; the tours remain in the Help menu
  • Time zone is UTC by default, adjustable with TZ for scheduled injects

What your Node-RED gets at Master da Web

Manage infrastructure from one panel: security, recovery, connectivity and growth. Check prices and availability when configuring your server.

  • Snapshots

Take a snapshot of Node-RED before a risky update and roll back to it with one click, without reinstalling anything.

  • Automatic backups

Scheduled copies of the whole server, kept off the host. Restore the complete Node-RED whenever you need to.

  • Managed firewall

Rules by port and source, applied from the panel, no iptables editing. Open only what Node-RED needs.

  • Security Center

Continuous external scanning of your server, with findings prioritised and the fix spelled out for each one.

  • Private network (VPC)

Connect Node-RED to databases and other servers over an isolated network with nothing exposed to the internet. With a VPN Gateway for remote access.

    About the VPC →

  • DDoS protection

Volumetric attack mitigation for your Node-RED server. Check protection options and prices when ordering.

    DDoS protection →

  • Grow without reinstalling

Add vCPU, memory and disk from the panel and pay only the difference, and Node-RED stays exactly as it is.

  • API and MCP for automation

Create, resize and manage servers through the public API — or straight from an AI assistant, over MCP.

Ready infrastructure, with the freedom to configure your application your way.

01

With your VPS

Your chosen image installed, the plan’s resources and a panel to manage the server. Administrative access is provided after provisioning.

02

Configure for your business

The e-mail carries the editor address, the admin user and the password. Sign in, build your flows and keep the credential key from /root/node-red.txt somewhere else. Set the time zone in .env if you use scheduled injects (the default is UTC) and protect the http in endpoints if they are not meant as public webhooks.

03

Expand when you need to

Backups, snapshot capacity, DDoS protection, private networking and other features are available as you need them. Check prices and availability when configuring your server.

You administer the system and application, including updates and data. For help with configuration or management, talk to our team about the scope of support.
