About Minecraft Java Edition
Creating your own Minecraft server is how you keep a world online for your friends, your family or your community, without leaving a computer switched on. At Master da Web, the Minecraft Java Edition VPS comes with Mojang's own server installed: players join from the Multiplayer menu of Minecraft: Java Edition, the PC version of the game (Windows, macOS and Linux).
Run a survival world with your group, a creative server for builds, an adventure map, or a closed world for the kids in the family that only the people you invite can join. Whoever runs the server is an operator and can use every command in the game, such as /gamemode and /tp.
Hosting the server on a VPS rather than your PC keeps the world online around the clock, with a public IP address of its own and no ports to open on a home router. You choose the datacenter in Belo Horizonte, close to players in Brazil, or in Dallas; the price is the plan's, not per player, and with root access the version, the rules and the backups stay with you.
You get Minecraft: Java Edition (Vanilla), with the server.jar downloaded from Mojang and checked against the SHA-1 Mojang publishes, running on Java 25 as a systemd service on port 25565/TCP. Online mode is on and, by default, so is the whitelist: your player name is put on the list and made operator, and the game mode, difficulty and server message come from your order and can later be changed on the server's page in our panel, without a restart. The RCON console is closed to the network (minecraft-console, over SSH) and Java's memory is sized to the plan's RAM. The welcome e-mail carries the address and how to join; the full details are in /root/minecraft-java.txt.
When ordering, you accept the Minecraft EULA yourself; without it, nothing is installed. Every player needs a genuine Minecraft: Java Edition account. The version does not change by itself (update with minecraft-update, which keeps the world), and switching to Paper (plugins) or Fabric (mods) is up to you. NOT AN OFFICIAL MINECRAFT SERVICE.
