About Minecraft Bedrock Edition
Minecraft Bedrock is the version of the game for phones, tablets, Windows and consoles, the one many people still call Minecraft PE (Pocket Edition). With your own Minecraft Bedrock server, the world stays online all the time and your friends join whenever they like. At Master da Web, the Minecraft Bedrock Edition VPS comes with Bedrock Dedicated Server, Mojang's own server software, installed.
It is the server for people who play on Android, iPhone, iPad or Minecraft for Windows: a survival world with your group, a family creative world or a server for your channel's community, with you as the operator.
Hosted on a VPS, the world does not depend on anyone keeping the game open on a phone or a PC, has a public IP address of its own and needs no ports opened on a router. The datacenter can be in Belo Horizonte, close to players in Brazil, or in Dallas, and the price is the plan's, not per player.
You get the current release of Bedrock Dedicated Server, downloaded from minecraft.net at installation and checked, on Ubuntu 24.04 as a systemd service: players connect on port 19132 (TCP) and the game uses UDP ports 19140 to 19203. By default the allowlist is on: your gamertag is added to it and made operator the first time you join, and the server name, game mode and difficulty come from your order and can later be changed on the server's page in our panel. Every night the server installs Mojang's current release when there is a new one, warning anyone online and first saving a copy of the worlds on the server itself. The welcome e-mail carries the address and how to join; the full details are in /root/minecraft-bedrock.txt.
One important limitation: on Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, Minecraft has no Add Server button yet, so people on those devices need to join from Windows, a phone or a tablet. When ordering, you accept the Minecraft EULA (without it, nothing is downloaded), and every player needs Minecraft (Bedrock) and a Microsoft account.
