In this tutorial we’ll show you how to create users on Windows Server and allow them to access the server remotely using the RDP protocol (Remote Desktop Connection).
First click on the Start Menu and go to Windows settings
On the settings screen, go to Accounts.
On the Accounts screen, go to Other People and then Add Another Person to this PC.
The screen below will open, in it open the users folder, located in the top left corner, after opening the folder, the existing users will be displayed in the center of the screen, click with the right mouse button on the blank screen and then on new user.
Create the user as desired and enter a secure password, deactivate the checkbox(User must change password at next logon) and click create.
To allow the user remote access, click on the groups folder and double-click on the group Remote Desktop Usersadd the user you just created to the group by clicking on Addenter the user name, then confirm by clicking on OKhe should appear as a member of the group. The printout below shows all the steps.
Click Ok to finish. Your user is already created and allowed to log on using the Windows remote terminal.
On the client computer, simply open the WIndows Remote Desktop Connection App, enter the data corresponding to the server to gain access.
Important note: To use Windows Server remote access, you must have CAL and RDS CAL licenses per user or device.
