How to size your project
A PBX's load grows with simultaneous calls, codec conversion, recordings and the number of registered extensions. For a small office, 2 vCPUs and 4 GB are a good starting point; recordings need disk, so set space aside for as long as you will keep them.

About Issabel 4
Issabel 4 is a unified communications distribution built on Asterisk. It turns a server into an IP PBX: extensions for phones and softphones, SIP trunks from a carrier, call routes, IVR menus, queues, voicemail and call recording, all managed from a web interface.
This is the project's series 4, based on CentOS 7, whose support from the CentOS project ended in June 2024. Issabel 5, the newer series, has its own page in the marketplace; pick 4 when you specifically need that version.
The PBX is yours to configure: carrier and trunks, extensions, routes and SIP security — strong passwords and access limited to your own addresses — plus system updates, recordings and backups.

Ready infrastructure, with the freedom to configure your application your way.
With your VPS
Your chosen image installed, the plan’s resources and a panel to manage the server. Administrative access is provided after provisioning.
Configure for your business
After the order, finish installing Issabel from the panel's console. Then create the extensions and your carrier's SIP trunk from the web interface, set strong passwords and limit SIP and the panel to your own addresses. Test one inbound and one outbound call before pointing real numbers at the PBX. The carrier, the numbering, security, system updates and backups are yours to handle.
Expand when you need to
Backups, snapshot capacity, DDoS protection, private networking and other features are available as you need them. Check prices and availability when configuring your server.
