What is a Driver?
A driver is a small program that allows the computer’s operating system to communicate with the device connected to it. It is responsible for the communication between the computer’s operating system and the hardware connected to it. This hardware can be a printer, a mouse, video and network cards, speakers, monitor, pen drives, etc…

Let’s proceed with the driver installation.
. Visit the NVIDIA Website: Access the official NVIDIA website (https://www.nvidia.com) to download the latest drivers for your specific hardware. Make sure to select the drivers compatible with the Windows Server operating system.
- Download the Drivers: Download the appropriate drivers for your hardware. Generally, you can use the search option or browse through the menus to find the correct drivers.
- Extract the Files: After downloading, extract the driver files to a specific folder on the server.
- Access the Device Manager: On the Windows server, open the Device Manager. This can be done by right-clicking on the “My Computer” icon and selecting “Manage”.
- Or through the Setup: OR access the driver installer and double-click it and follow the steps for installation.
- Update the Driver: In the Device Manager, locate your NVIDIA video card in the list of devices. Right-click on it and select “Update driver”.
- Select the Driver Location: Choose the option to search for drivers on your computer and point to the folder where you extracted the driver files downloaded from NVIDIA.
- Complete the Installation: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the driver installation. After installation, you may need to restart the server for the changes to take effect.
